Exactly this! What even is a mid-life crisis for a generation that knows nothing but crisis?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! (Article is paywalled but I trust your analysis). I think it's easy to choose the nihilism route and say 'we can't afford a midlife crisis' without considering midlife means nothing to us. our parents, at our age, had a mortgage, one or two kids, possibly a divorce, and could survive on one salary because 'the man was the breadwinner'. me? at this age? hello kitty slippers, thinking about getting a cat, just now discovering that literally every millennial (except maybe trad wives and incels) shares my feelings about our generation and the hellfire we're sipping coffee in.
